Cultivating Success
The Role of Networking in the Landscaping Industry by Loren McIrvin
In the world of landscaping, where nature meets artistry, professionals understand that success extends beyond crafting breathtaking outdoor spaces. It hinges on building connections, sharing knowledge, and collectively elevating the industry to new heights.
Landscapers are known for being down to earth, both figuratively and literally. They embrace a unique culture of collaboration and pushing our industry forward.
Here’s a couple benefits tied networking:
1. Knowledge Exchange: The landscaping field is ever-evolving, with new techniques and trends emerging. Networking facilitates the exchange of insights, enabling professionals to stay at the forefront of industry innovations.
2. Collaborative Synergy: Networking connects like-minded individuals who share a passion for creating stunning outdoor environments and improving the industry as a whole.
3. Business Opportunities: Valuable prospects emerge through networking, be it in the form of referrals, partnerships, or job offers. Staying connected opens doors that might otherwise remain undiscovered.
4. Industry Advancement: When landscape professionals unite, they collectively raise industry standards. Sharing best practices and inspiring each other to excel benefits not only their businesses but also the clients who receive superior services.
Landscape professionals epitomize the spirit of “breaking bread” together, a symbol of unity and shared aspirations and in that spirit the CLCA East Bay would like to invite you to our Christmas Networking event on December 1st. This event is held at a member’s home, very low-key with a good group of down-to-earth landscaper looking to connect and network.
So, whether you’re a budding landscaper or a seasoned veteran, remember the significance of networking and on behalf of the CLCA East Bay I hope to see you at our Holiday Celebration – https://www.clcaeastbay.org/events/

California recently expanded the amount of paid sick leave guaranteed to workers.
Gov. Gavin Newsom signed SB 616, which guarantees employees five paid sick days per year, up from three days previously.
The law requires employers of all sizes to provide 40 hours of accrued sick leave or paid time off by the 200th calendar day of employment or each calendar year or in each 12-month period. It permits employers to limit carryover sick leave to 40 hours or five days per year. It will take effect Jan. 1, 2024.
