Getting things done is difficult. What is even more difficult is prioritizing to get the right things done, and getting them done right. I would like to share a few things that have helped me, in hopes they do the same for you.
Getting Things Done (GTD) – a productivity methodology created by David Allen, designed to help individuals manage their tasks, projects, and commitments effectively. The core idea behind GTD is to capture everything that requires your attention – tasks, ideas, projects, and responsibilities – and organize them in a system that allows you to focus without feeling overwhelmed.
Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) & Traction – closely related concepts designed to help businesses achieve success by creating a clear vision, fostering accountability, and ensuring disciplined execution. These ideas are rooted in the principles laid out by Gino Wickman in his book “Traction: Get a Grip on Your Business.”
The California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) and peer collaboration within the landscape industry. CLCA provides a platform for members to connect, share knowledge, and work together to elevate the landscape industry in California. I’m very thankful for the relationships I have gained through the CLCA, providing resources and accountability along the way. We have some of the most down-to-earth and best in class landscape professionals in the industry that have helped me get things done in the most gracious way.
If I can help you work through a problem, decide what is most important, and ultimately get things done, please reach out. I hope to see you at an upcoming CLCA event soon.
The Authentic Reality Behind Artificial Intelligence
AI is here and it’s making its mark on the world, let alone the green industry. At this year’s Lawn & Landscape Technology Conference, Scott Klososky, founding partner of Future Point of View, gave the keynote address and warned attendees not to wait to embrace AI and technology.
“The technology is growing so quickly that we have a gap between the power it has and how fast people are learning about it,” Klososky says. “One of the things you should be focusing on is getting AI skills into your team members. Don’t be caught a year from now being flatfooted.”
