Dear CLCA East Bay Chapter Members,
Spring is starting to settle in here in the East Bay, and the longer days are a reminder that the busy season for our industry is right around the corner. Many of us are already shifting from winter planning into the full pace of the growing season.
With this, your chapter has been busy providing networking opportunities and trainings to support you and your teams throughout the season.
One example of this was our recent Field Irrigation Training Luncheon on February 12th, and I’d like to extend a thank you to Loren McIrvin of Allied Landscape for leading the session. Trainings like these provide practical knowledge our teams can use every day in the field and give members a chance to share experiences and learn from one another.
Looking ahead, mark your calendars for March 19th, when the East Bay Chapter will host a Field Supervisor Panel Discussion. The session will share real-world insights on setting clear expectations, strengthening communication, developing frontline team members, and leading crews to meet client standards.
There are also a couple of important things I want to bring to everyone’s attention this month. The CLCA Beautification Awards entry period is now open, and it’s always inspiring to see the projects our members submit each year. If you have a project your team is proud of, I encourage you to consider entering. It’s also a good time to remember that CLCA members have access to the Legal Hotline, a helpful resource that connects members with attorneys who can provide guidance on construction law, employment matters, and business-related questions when they arise.
We’ll also have a chance to connect with fellow members at our upcoming April networking gathering on April 24th. These informal get-togethers are always a good reminder that the relationships we build through this chapter are just as valuable as the training and resources we share.
As the season starts to ramp up, I know many of us are preparing for the busy months ahead. Wishing you all a productive and successful start to the growing season, and I look forward to seeing many of you at upcoming chapter events.
